After washing out West Indies, India will now lock horns with Sri Lanka in a three-match T20I series, starting February 24 (Thursday). Lucknow will host the first match while the last two T20Is are scheduled to take place in Dharamsala.
India have rested Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant while Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja are back in the action again. Surya Kumar Yadav who was the player of the series in the T20Is against West Indies misses out due to injury. It’s an excellent opportunity for the youngsters to grab the opportunity with both hands.
Sri Lanka, on the other hand, will miss their star all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga, due to COVID-19. They had a terrible last T20I series against Australia where they lost by a 4-1 margin. The Islanders won the last game and will hope to replicate the momentum against India.
