Vaibhav Suryavanshi, a 13-year-old kid cricketer, has set cricket on a soaring high by signing Rs 1.10 crore deal to play for the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2025 auction season. Even though he has received massive attention and limelight for his achievement, Suryavanshi is all-collected on his game and does not care the ruckus around him.
The young cricketer has also explained that his role model is the West Indies cricketer, Brian Lara, as a result of which he shares a great passion to play cricket and, like his hero, make it to the top.
As of now, Suryavanshi is playing for India in an Asia Cup-19 match against Pakistan at the Dubai cricket stadium. Auction for IPL has made history and he sold himself as the youngest person captured in the history manifested in auction. This accomplishment could only be possible for such talent and prospect that he has and world cricket fans will be looking forward to him in the years ahead.

In the IPL 2025 mega auction, Vaibhav Suryavanshi made a Rs 1.10 crore sign with the Rajasthan Royals, which instantly made him a sensation. But instead of being disturbed by the outside noise, the 13-year-old was eager to concentrate on his game. He also disclosed that Brian Lara, a legend in the West Indies, is his idol.
“I’m currently focused on my game. I’m not bothered by what’s happening around,” Vaibhav Suryavanshi told the broadcasters on Sony Sports.
“Brian Lara is my idol,” he further added during an interview.
Even before the IPL auction, Vaibhav won headlines for his incredible, record-breaking century for India U-19 versus Australia U-19 in Chennai. He surpassed Najmul Hossain Shanto’s record of 13 years and 288 days to become the youngest hitter to register an international century. His 104 off 62 balls was a remarkable demonstration of his skill, maturity, and temperament.
