In the battle of the titans between KXIP and KKR, Kings XI Punjab came up trumps as Kl Rahul and Chris Gayle demolished Kolkata bowlers to all parts of the ground.
Winning the toss and choosing to the field by KXIP skipper Ashwin proved to be a masterstroke as even Lynnsanity and some fireworks from Uthappa couldn”t save KKR from the defeat,
Batting first KKR posted a huge total of 191 courtesy of blistering half-century from Chris Lynn and counterattacking knock by Captain Dinesh Karthik.
But That didn”t mean anything to Punjab openers as Kl Rahul and Universe Boss Gayle just kept hitting boundaries and sixes at will.
Rain intervened but KXIP managed to chase a shortened target of 125 in just 11.1 overs.
