Shane Watson scored the second century of IPL 2018. Chennai Super Kings are playing Rajasthan Royals at their new den MCA stadium, Pune. Opting to bowl first, things didn”t go well for Royals.
Rayudu and Watto started smashing the bowlers to every corner of the stadium. Raina scored a brilliant 46 as he smashed four consecutive boundaries off Ben Stokes.
Watson scored 106 from 57 balls that included 9 boundaries and half a dozen sixes. It is to be noted that in all the four matches played by Chennai, at least one batsman has scored a half-century.
Watson”s century is his third in IPL. Another interesting fact is that 49 centuries have been scored in IPL from 2008 and only one away from another record for the cash-rich league.
CSK finished their innings at 204/5. Shreyas Gopalan registered thrifty spell of 3/20 in his full quota of four overs.
