Kolkata Knight Riders won the battle against Royal Challengers Bangalore by 6 wickets in the match at Bangalore. Kohli”s captain innings went in vain as Bangalore bowlers weren”t able to defend a total of 176.This is Bangalore”s fifth defeat of the season and they are in a must-win situation in the next seven matches to make it to the playoffs.
Opting to bowl first, Kolkata bowlers went for more runs in the initial stages as Quinton de Kock and Mccullum smashed them to all corners of the stadium.Kohli”s knock of 68* was the talk of the town as he hit 5 boundaries and 3 huge sixes. Andre Russell was the star with the ball as he took three wickets on his birthday.
Chasing 176, Kolkata battle comfortably as their opening pair of Lynn-Narine scored 59 runs for the opening partnership. Though the rain-interrupted, Kolkata found it easy to win the match.
Lynn was unbeaten on 62* and was adjudged the Man of the match. Kolkata is now placed in the fourth spot of points table while Bangalore slump to 7th position.
It is to be noted that the Bangalore fielders were sloppy on the field and this cost the match for them. Twitter trolled Bangalore franchise for their inconsistency in the field.

The way Virat is captaining the RCB team is pathetic. Just now realized the importance of MS Dhoni in dressing for limited over series. #RCB

On one side, we have #SRH who can successfully defend even the smallest of totals; on the other side is #RCB who just cannot defend even a better total par 170! #IPL2018 & it's contradictions!

In 2009, #RCB made it to the finals despite of winning only 2 of their first 7 games. Ohh what would I not give to have @anilkumble1074 back in the team management again!

.@imVkohli What a catch!! Really wanted #RCB to win!!

Royal Challenges Bangalore Should Hire Me. That Won't Change The Result But At Least They'll Have One Bowler To Blame Instead Of Entire Bowling Unit. #RCBvKKR #RCBvsKKR #RCB #IPL2018

Dissolve #RCB And Create A New Team Without Having Any Link With Vijay Mallya. The Curse Of People Whose Money He's Fled With Will Never Let Them Win Any Match. It's Hard To Watch Virat Kohli's Team Losing Every Match.🙏 #RCBvKKR #RCBvsKKR #KKRvRCB
