It was the match between best batting lineup vs the best bowling lineup. Chennai Super Kings locked horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad at the orange army”s home venue in the 20th match of this IPL.
Hyderabad after being badly defeated by KXIP in the last game started beautifully by restricting CSK for the lowest Powerplay score in this IPL but Chennai recovered to post a mammoth total of 182/3.
SRH were chasing the score without the opener and the best batsman Shikhar Dhawan and Ricky Bhui made his SRH debut.
Suresh Raina (53* off 43 balls) provided stability but it was the assault from Rayudu who smashed 79 off 37 balls who took the game away from SRH. MS Dhoni also struck some lusty blows in the end and propelled CSk”s score to 182/3.
Chahar broke the back of the chase with 3 early wickets but an incredibly gritty knock from captain Williamson and late assault from Yusuf Pathan along with Rashid Khan meant that match went onto the last ball with SRH needing 6 to win off the final delivery. Bravo bowled a brilliant yorker and CSK registered yet another close win I a nail-biting encounter.
Twitter went crazy in the latter stages of the match and hailed CSK as the best team of the tournament.
Very interesting to see batsmen attacking Rashid Khan this way. This is how it is at this level of cricket. Players always find a way to tackle you. Now Rashid must come back with an answer.

Many super moments today! Rayudu & Raina’s innings, Deepak Chahar’s bowling, Jaddu’s diving catch of captain Kane… but may be this super effort by Karn Sharma to save a definite 6, needs a bigger round of whistles! #WhistlePodu #SRHvCSK #Yellove pic.twitter.com/fT0X0lH8HF

It’s all about packaging today, glitzy packaging over an ordinary product. That’s where the likes of Ambati Rayudu don’t get their due. #CSKvSRH

First 9 overs produced only 41, the next 7 have produced 96. Rayudu is playing the innings of his life. #SRHvCSK

Dhoni has always backed swing bowlers. Transformed some of them into International bowlers too. Deepak Chahar is in right hands. Wish him well. #SRHvCSK #IPL
