MS Dhoni struggling to run between the wickets and gasping for breath was a rare sight of his against Sunrisers Hyderabad. It was CSK’s fourth game of IPL 2020 which they lost by seven runs. Seeing MS Dhoni criticised for his age, Irfan Pathan took a slight dig at MS Dhoni. He was joined by Harbhajan Singh, who is not part of the CSK squad personal reasons this year.
Irfan Pathan tweeted, “Age is just a number for some and for others a reason to be dropped” on October 3.

MS Dhoni scored an unbeaten 47 still ended up on the losing side on that night. CSK’s loss forced fans to have their opinions on the team on social media as well.
Meanwhile, Pathan’s Indian teammate Harbhajan Singh backed the left-armer saying “10000000 percent agree with you.@IrfanPathan”

Irfan Pathan Posts Another Tweet on MS Dhoni
Seeing his original tweet garner a lot of reaction, he came up with another tweet on Monday (October 5). “Sirf Do line mein sir ghum gaye, puri kitaab padhne par chakkar bhi aaega;)

This was a possible hint by Pathan that he has a lot to tell about this age-debate in international cricket, which has seen reputed cricketers retire way early then they wanted to.
Pathan is an example of the same as well. After he was repeatedly ignored by the BCCI selection committee despite regular performances in domestic cricket, the Indian-all-rounder announced his international retirement earlier this year in January.
“I am announcing retirement from all forms of cricket. I have been fortunate to share the dressing room with greats of the game like Ganguly, Dravid, and Laxman. I am calling time on my career,” Irfan Pathan said.
“I would like to thank my family for providing much-needed support. I would like to thank my fans. They have always hoped for my comeback. Their support has kept me going” he further added.
Irfan Pathan was a part of India’s 2007 T20 World Cup squad and played under MS Dhoni.
