The Royal Challengers Bangalore has so far looked a mighty unit in IPL 2020. Now after their steady performances, Pragyan Ojha to believes that they can surely win their maiden IPL trophy in the UAE. So far Virat Kohli’s side has won 7 out of their 10 league matches and is ticking all the right boxes.
With their win against Kolkata, Bangalore have gone up to the second spot with seven wins from ten matches. Only Delhi Capitals sit ahead of them courtesy a better net run-rate.
RCB is very close to reality – Pragyan Ojha
Former India spinner Ojha stated that the way RCB is performing this year they are very close to reality. Ojha pointed out that their star players are on song this season and that is why they can certainly win that elusive IPL title.
“The way they are playing, I think they are very close to reality. This year, I believe, it won’t be a dream for them because of the way they are playing. Once these kinds of players, like ABD (de Villiers), Virat Kohli and Chris Morris, once they get that flow and the start, they are different players,” speaking to Sports Today Pragyan Ojha said.
Before the season, all the talk was about how RCB this year looks a balanced unit. They made key changes in their side as well the management which is now giving them rewards. Since 2016, RCB has had a dismal few IPL season but finally, they are looking one of the strongest sides in the competition.
Mike Hesson Has Brought In Stability
Meanwhile, Pragyan Ojha also pointed out that Mike Hesson has brought much-needed stability to the RCB setup. In the last few years, RCB always had quality players but they lacked a good coach who gave clarity of roles to every player. Hesson and Simon Katich have done just that as RCB are now looking major contenders to win IPL 2020.
“I think they are much more composed. Their clarity of thought is very good. The one thing that they were lacking is the coach, they had the players all these years, Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers.”

“Mike Hesson has got that stability (they needed). They had most of their players earlier also. This year, their planning and the way they are going about their business is more mature,” Ojha said.
Next up Virat Kohli-led RCB will face Chennai Super Kings in an afternoon fixture on Saturday at Dubai.
