India’s U19 star Ravi Bishnoi is keen to learn from Anil Kumble when he unites with Kings XI Punjab for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Despite the Men in Blues losing in the finals to Bangladesh, youngsters like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Kartik Tyagi, and Bishnoi have left a long-lasting impression and will be eyeing to make a mark in the biggest franchise-based tournament.
Bishnoi had a stellar time in the mega event grabbing 17 wickets to finish as the leading wicket-taker in the competition. He impressed one and all with his leg-spin and now hopes to continue his excellent in the 13th season of IPL. Impressed by his exploits, Kings XI Punjab roped Ravi Bishnoi for Rs 2 crores during the auctions last year.

In a recent interview with Times of India, the 19-year-old lad from Rajasthan dreams to learn the art of leg-spin better from Punjab head coach Anil Kumble. It is certain that Ravi Bishnoi will be able to hone his skills spending time with the former India skipper from close quarters and hopes to use this platform to play for India.
“The one thing I will request him is to teach me is the art of bowling the flipper… After the World Cup, the target is to perform well for KXIP in IPL. There have been cricketers who got a chance in the Indian team after performing magnificently in the IPL. My ultimate dream is to play for India (senior team),” Bishnoi said.Â
Kings XI Punjab will continue to hunt for their maiden trophy when the season begins from March 29 with Mumbai Indians playing Chennai Super Kings in the tournament opener.
