The second phase of IPL 2021 will take place in the UAE, starting from September 19 with defending champions locking horns with Chennai Super Kings in Dubai. The final of the tournament is slated to take place on September 15, a couple of days ahead of the start of the ICC T20 World Cup.
Meanwhile, the remainder of the tournament will see a couple of stars miss the T20 blitz. The BCCI has allowed the franchises to sign replacements for cricketers who will be missing the business end of IPL 2021. Ahead of the start of the competition, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Rajasthan Royals (RR), Punjab Kings (PBKS), and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) announced replacements in their respective squads.
