Defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) are already one week into their preparations for the 2nd half of IPL 2021, scheduled to commence on September 19. The cricketers are enjoying their time and recently Ishan Kishan and support staff Parthiv Patel were seen having a healthy banter with each other.
On Saturday (August 4), MI shared a hilarious video of Parthiv Patel forcing Ishan to run for a single after he refused to run to play the next delivery, which was a free hit. There was an opportunity to take a single there but Ishan wanted to play the free hit.
However, Parthiv Patel forced Ishan Kishan to take the run. MI captioned the post:
“Taking a single on the last ball of the over Not taking a single to face free-hit.”

Meanwhile, Ishan Kishan didn’t have a great outing in the first half of IPL 2021. He will look to make amends when Mumbai Indians begin their campaign in the second phase. The Rohit Sharma-led side will kick off their campaign against three-time champions Chennai Super Kings on September 19 in Dubai.

“Let me just pick a new bat today, what say? All my bats have the text “Om Sai Nath” written on it because I believe in him. I ask them to put it on my bat because I like it, it gives me confidence” said Kishan.
