IPL 2021: Match 25 – Delhi Capitals vs Kolkata Knight Riders – Match Prediction

Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders have different equations in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. Delhi are amongst the table-toppers in the IPL, whereas KKR are trying to keep a stronghold on their accelerator. In the 25th match of the IPL 2021, Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders will square off at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. DC suffered a heartbreaking one-run defeat to Royal Challengers Bangalore in their last game, and KKR had a confidence-boosting win over Punjab Kings in their latest outing. Albeit DC have won on four occasions out of six, while KKR just managed two triumphs. DC and KKR are placed at No. 3 and No. 5 spots on the table.

Both Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw are men in form for Delhi their middle-order and lower-order are producing runs for the team in the IPl 2021. Avesh Khan, with 12 scalps in six games, is the second-highest wicket-taker till now. The side has performed well under their stand-in captain Rishabh Pant. However, there will be some headache at their camp as they lost the last game by one run, and before that, DC’s fixture against SunRisers Hyderabad went to the Super Over.

KKR opened their innings by emerging victorious against SRH in their season opener. But the two times title holders had failed miserably after that. Captain Eoin Morgan had a dry period with the bat until their last outing, where he won the match, remaining unbeaten on 47. Shubhman Gill has failed to give a solid start as an opener, and Nitish Rana lost his pace after a few brilliant knocks. Prasidh Krishna is gleaming for the Men in Purple, snapping wickets regularly.

Match Prediction – Who will win the match?

Interestingly, out of their 26 clashes, Kolkata have mustered 14, and Delhi are not too far with 11 wins. The match is likely to be competitive as the IPL is trickling past the midway mark. The pitch at the Motera looked a decent one for the batters, with no tricks unfolding on the way.

DC would like to arrest their defeat, toss their fortune, while KKR will look forward to emulating their last victory in today’s game. KKR are supposed to keep their winning combination unchanged, but DC would enter the match as the favourites.
