IPL 2021 mid-Season Team of The Tournament

In the 29th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, a hot-and-cold Punjab Kings will take on a fierce Delhi Capitals at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad, on Sunday. The Mohali-based side, which has been inconsistent in the first leg, need to put together themselves in the second match on the Sunday double-header.

Kings have won three fixtures out of seven, the figure shows their patchy form in the IPL 2021. DC are placed at the second spot after winning five out of seven games. Powered by openers Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan, a middle-order led by Rishabh Pant, and Avesh Khan acing bowling line-up, DC are having their best time. However, Kagiso Rabada’s struggle is not altered. The 2020 runners-up are maintaining the same pace under the leadership of Rishabh Pant, who is leading the side in the absence of Shreyas Iyer. Shreyas Iyer also stood out as a captain last year.

Coming to Punjab, captain KL Rahul is regularly piling up runs, and in his absence, due to an immediate hospitalization, his teammates need to match with his rhythm to put them back on the track. In their last match, PBKS thumped Royal Challengers Bangalore by 34 runs. The victory was massive, and much needed to shoot up their confidence. The side may try out T20I’s number one batter Dawid Malan, who has been warming the bench till now in the wake of Nicholas Pooran’s run drought.
