Delhi Capitals locked horns with Kolkata Knight Riders in the 25th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. Thanks to Prithvi Shaw, Delhi Capitals thumped the two times IPL champions, Kolkata Knight Riders, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Rishabh Pant’s side restored their second spot on the IPL Points Table after the victory.
DC’s opener Prithvi Shaw massacred the opponent bowlers on the field. Chasing the total, Shaw gave Capitals a blitzkrieg start with his six consecutive boundaries off Shivam Mavi. The youngster carried forward his form and racked up 82 runs from 41 deliveries smashing 11 boundaries and three sixes.
Prithvi Shaw was partnered by Shikhar Dhawan being his opening partner. The senior batter anchored the chase by hammering 46 runs. DC chased down the target of 155 within 16.3 overs and penned their fifth win in the tournament. Shaw received the Player of The Match Award for his carnage on the ground.
Prachi Singh posts heartfelt message for Prithvi Shaw
The 21-year-old was heaped with praises for his knock against the Riders. Apart from his fans, cricket fraternity, there was one appreciation post that stood out was by his rumoured girlfriend, Prachi Singh. However, no one has confirmed their relationship, but their social media posts indicate some different stories.
On Thursday, the 25-year-old actress posted a congratulatory post on her Instagram handle. Prachi posted a picture of the batter with his Player of The Match Award and expressed her pride. Prachi wrote: “I’m so proud of you!”
In another post, Prachi Singh posted a collage of Prithvi Shaw receiving awards and asked if the batter needed a new suitcase to pack his awards.
Prithvi Shaw has been fierce on the field and is very much consistent since the beginning of the cash-rich league. Delhi Capitals are performing well under the captaincy of Rishabh Pant. The Capitals were the runners-up in the IPL 2020.
