The Indian Premier League 2021 which was earlier suspended due to the covid-19 outbreak in the team bubbles is all set to resume from September 19 in the United Arab Emirates. Defending Champions Mumbai Indians are likely to land in UAE on Friday for the second phase of the tournament.
Speaking to ANI, a source confirmed the news. The cricketers are currently in a bubble in Mumbai and will be transferred to another bubble in the UAE.
“The team (Mumbai Indians) is awaiting the landing permission from the UAE government just like the Chennai Super Kings and once they get that, they also wish to land in Dubai on Friday. It will be a bubble-to-bubble transfer for Mumbai Indians, but they will undergo quarantine as per protocol once in the UAE. It’s bubble-to-bubble because the boys are already in a bubble and training in Mumbai,” said the source.
