Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is considered one of the consistent teams in the Indian Premier League (IPL) over the years. And, the credit goes to their veteran captain MS Dhoni.
Dhoni has been associated with the team since the beginning of the tournament in 2008. Under his leadership, the Chennai Super Kings have won the IPL trophy three times as well. While Dhoni has already retired from international cricket, he is still active in the IPL.
But recently, in a social media exchange, India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has shown his interest to captain the Chennai Super Kings after MS Dhoni. While responding to a fan’s question on who should lead CSK after Dhoni’s retirement, Jadeja indirectly wrote the number 8, which is his jersey number only.
However, soon Ravindra Jadeja deleted his tweet as well.

However, CSK finished at second place in the points table in the first phase of IPL before it was suspended. However, they will resume the second phase in a match against the defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) on September 19 in Dubai. Delhi Capitals (DC) are currently leading the points table as well.
Robin Uthappa Reveals What MS Dhoni Said When CSK Picked Him
On the other hand, CSK’s Robin Uthappa has shared a secret about his tenure with the franchise. He hasn’t made his debut for Chennai Super Kings as he warmed the bench in the first leg of the tournament in India. With Faf du Plessis and Ruturaj Gaikwad in sublime form, Uthappa had to wait for his chances for yellow as well.
But, he might get the chance in the second phase of the season in the UAE considering Du Plessis’ injury. The league will begin on September 19 as well. Uthappa has revealed that it was well communicated by the CSK franchise and the captain MS Dhoni that he would not get the chance of playing XI straight after being selected by the team. Uthappa revealed how Dhoni also shared with him that he had no say in his selection and didn’t want any credit or brickbats for favouring him as well.
