Sunrisers Hyderabad substitute Jagdeesh Suchith took a brilliant catch to dismiss Deepak Hooda as Punjab Kings scored 125/7 in their 20 overs. Their innings never really took off after their openers were dismissed by Jason Holder in his very first over. He ended with 3/19 from his spell to stifle the opposition under 130.
With his side needing to score quick runs in the final overs, Deepak Hooda smacked one from the middle of his bat in the 16th over to find Suchith on the way who completed a quite brilliant catch. Apart from Holder taking three wickets, Rashid Khan took the big wicket of Chris Gayle who scored just 14 in his first game of the UAE leg.

” I think it’s a good total and we can chase it down. It’s a 140-145 kinda wicket, we adjusted to the conditions well and bowled according to the plan. The fast bowlers have shared the experience with me and cutters will be hard to hit on a wicket that’s keeping low. Always had it in the mind to get him (Gayle) and it was a crucial wicket for us at that stage. He is still the Universe Boss and we all know how dangerous he can be with the bat and always nice to get his wicket” said Rashid Khan on his team’s chances to win the game in the mid-innings break.
SRH are placed at the bottom of the points table and need to win this game to keep their playoff hopes alive. David Warner who scored a duck in his previous match is expected to get back amongst the runs.
A loss for SRH would make their remaining leg very crucial and a chance at the IPL playoffs all the more difficult.
