The defending champions Mumbai Indians have already landed in Dubai for the second phase of the Indian Premier League 2021 (IPL) season. The tournament resumes on September 19 at the Dubai International Stadium.

The Mumbai Indians on Friday hosted their first practice session after completing the mandatory quarantine period. While most of the Indian players from the Mumbai Indians squad are in Dubai, the likes of Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, and other MI players who are in England, will join the team once the tour concludes.

The Mumbai Indians shared a video from the training session on their social media accounts. The video features Mumbai Indians players such as the likes of Ishan Kishan, Jayant Yadav, Dhawal Kulkarni, and others getting in the groove before the marquee tournament kicks off.

They captioned it as, “First day at office in 5️⃣5️⃣ seconds! Turn on your notifications and stay tuned 😉 #OneFamily #MumbaiIndians #IPL2021 #KhelTakaTak @mxtakatak MI TV”

The defending champions Mumbai Indians had a decent run in the first phase of IPL 2021. They rank fourth with four wins in seven matches, and a Net Run Rate of +0.062.

The Mumbai Indians will take on Chennai Super Kings in the first match after resumption on September 19 at the Dubai International Stadium. Head to head Mumbai Indians have an upper hand over the Chennai Super Kings. In the last encounter between these two sides, Mumbai Indians emerged as winners in a last-ball thriller.

The five-time IPL champions will be keen to add one more IPL title to their cabinet this season.
