Chennai Super Kings head coach Stephen Fleming has opened up about Ambati Rayudu’s deleted tweet ahead of the match against Gujarat Titans. Recently, Ambati Rayudu announced his retirement from the Indian Premier League (IPL) through a tweet. However, later he deleted it.
The Chennai Super Kings head coach Stephen Fleming has addressed the situation in the camp after Rayudu’s tweet. He expressed that Ambati Rayudu is fine, and his tweet hasn’t caused any disruptions in the Chennai camp. While replying to an NDTV question during a virtual post-match press conference, Fleming said,
“It was not disappointing, it was probably a little bit of a storm in a teacup, to be honest. But, I think he was fine. It has not changed anything in the camp but it is a non-story.”
Ambati Rayudu had expressed that this was going to be his last Indian Premier League season. He also acknowledged the contribution of the two franchises, Mumbai Indian and Chennai Super Kings, in his IPL career. Rayudu had tweeted,
“I am happy to announce that this will be my last ipl. I have had a wonderful time playing it and being a part of 2 great teams for 13 years. Would love to sincerely thank Mumbai Indians and Csk for the wonderful journey.
The Chennai Super Kings batter, later deleted the tweet, leading to confusion among the fans. It was only cleared, when Chennai Super Kings CEO, Kasi Vishwanathan confirmed that Rayudu will not retire and will be a part of the franchise for the upcoming season.

Chennai Super Kings suffer ninth loss in IPL 2022
The Chennai Super Kings were defeated by the table-topper Gujarat Titans by seven wickets on Sunday at the Wankhede Stadium. They failed to put on a competitive score, batting first. This was Chennai’s ninth loss of the Indian Premier League 2022 season.
The MS Dhoni-led team is reeling at the ninth spot, with just eight points from thirteen matches. They will be taking on the Rajasthan Royals on May 20 in their final match of IPL 2022.
