DC Had Lost Cricket Equipment Valued At INR 16 Lakh While In Transit.

Cricket bats and other equipment belonging to the Delhi Capitals worth Rs 16 lakh were stolen while in transit. After their match in Bengaluru, the Delhi Capitals lost their cricket gear on the way back to Delhi. This season, Delhi has dropped five of its five games. The IPL team Delhi Capitals reportedly misplaced their cricket gear on the flight from Bengaluru to Delhi.

All five of David Warner’s team’s games have ended in defeat, and their most recent loss was to Royal Challengers Bangalore in Bengaluru. Upon arrival in Delhi, the players learned that DC had lost cricket equipment valued at INR 16 lakh.

On April 15, DC faced RCB following which they left for home. Notably, as many as 16 bats have lost, according to a report by Indian Express, with five of those bats being Yash Dhull’s, three belonging to Phil Salt, David Warner receiving three and Mitchell Marsh receiving two.

In addition, other tools like gloves, shoes, thigh pads and pads were also missing. When the players arrived in Delhi and their belongings were delivered to their rooms, they discovered the missing items.

The news that everyone had misplaced something from their kit bags “stunned them all”. This is the first time that such an incident has occurred and the issue was quickly brought up with the logistics division, police, and later at the airport.

According to a DC source cited by Indian Express, the investigation is ongoing. The players have been requested to provide information regarding a complaint that has been made regarding the problem.

Our duty officer gave them a piece of paper and instructed them to write a complaint with all the details. They promised to obtain all the information and lodge a complaint after doing so. The proper legal action would be taken, according to Airport DCP Devesh Kumar Mehta, who spoke to Express.

On Thursday in Delhi, the Delhi Capitals play host to the Kolkata Knight Riders. Even though the equipment was lost, they still prepared for the game. The Delhi Capitals have notably dropped each of their five games this year. They are the only team in the league without a victory, and they are last in the standings.
