Lucknow Super Giants beat RCB by 1 wicket in one of the most dramatic endings of IPL. Harshal Patel tried to mankad Bishnoi while bowling, but he missed the bails. He again tried to hit the stumps after completing his action and this time he did so, but umpires denied the run out as he had already completed his bowling action and then tried to hit the stumps.
Lucknow needed 5 runs in the final over and Harshal Patel bowled brilliantly to bring it to the final delivery. He even beat Avesh Khan in the final ball, but Dinesh Karthik fumbled and the batsman quickly ran a single.
The game saw a wide range of emotions between the two sides. Gambhir was pumped up after the victory. Lucknow is now in 1st position in the points table.
“Not for one moment, do I think it was a conscious effort. Harshal Patel was running in and must have been in shock to see how far away he (Bishoi was) and missed the run-out. But if he had run him out, there would have been a pitch invasion. It would have been Kohli-Gambhir gloves on,” Morgan said.

Gambhir and Kohli had some banter during the 2013 IPL, and in this match also there were aggressive celebrations from both Virat and Gambhir.
Both these cricketers are known for their aggressive celebrations on the field, but off the field, they are just like normal cricketers who like to talk about the game. Gambhir and Kohli clicked pictures together after the game.
RCB will now gear for another big clash against Delhi Capitals on the 15th of April. Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow now meet on 1st May at Lucknow’s home stadium.
