Gujarat Titans batter David Miller was all praise for skipper Hardik Pandya after their second consecutive win in the 2023 Indian Premier League. They defeated the Chennai Super Kings in the season opener and followed it up with a six-wicket win over the Delhi Capitals on April 4 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
The defending champions restricted the Delhi Capitals to 162 runs, bowling first. Mohammed Shami and Rashid Khan picked up three wickets each. In response to the target, Gujarat Titans chased it down with six wickets to spare. They are now leading on the points table with four points and an NRR of 0.700.
“Hardik is definitely one of the top players I have worked with. I have been very privileged to work under him. My first captain in the IPL was Adam Gilchrist, so very privileged to be in this position. We never really knew Hardik last year but got to know him off the field. He is his own person and instills a lot of confidence within the squad. He’s a huge team man and makes a lot of time for the younger guys,” said David Miller.

Gujarat Titans cricketer David Miller also heaped praise on Sai Sudharsan. The youngster has been impressive in the two matches played so far in the 2023 Indian Premier League. He slammed an unbeaten 62 off 48 balls with four fours and two sixes against the Delhi Capitals. David Miller expressed that Sai Sudharsan is a talented player, and his performance has been encouraging for the team.
“Sai played a few games last year and to come in and do what he has done in the last two games has been really encouraging for the team. He is a seriously talented player and we do need him in the squad. It’s nice to see him doing really well and great to see him become the Player of the Match,” said David Miller.
