Due to a long-term injury, the DC spinner had to go through a lengthy rehabilitation process, and Kuldeep acknowledged that he was extremely frustrated during that time. Kuldeep revealed that he used to talk to Team India’s RR spinner the most. When he was down during a recent interview on Breakfast with Champions, as reported by Sportskeeda. Chahal, who Kuldeep admitted he used to frequently vent to, counselled him to just concentrate on his rehabilitation and assured him that his comeback would be fantastic.
Kuldeep Yadav gave the following explanation: “Whenever I was down, from the Indian team, I used to talk mostly to Chahal. Whenever I was hurt or had surgery, my mood would fluctuate”.
”I used to lash out at him every 15 minutes when I felt angry. He always told me to concentrate on the rehab and my comeback would be fantastic. It was a huge help to me.”
Ricky Ponting gave Kuldeep some confidence after the Delhi Capitals selected him, Kuldeep added.
Kuldeep Yadav elaborated on the same by saying, “When I was picked by Delhi, I remember Ricky calling me and he has made one thing clear. I would participate in all 14 games, he assured me, regardless of how I would bowl.”
“I felt secure and my confidence soared as a result. Whether or not I have taken wickets in the game doesn’t seem to concern him all that much. He merely gives me tips on the bowling lanes I can use.”
