Rohit Sharma received praise from Ravi Shastri for his 65 runs off 45 balls against the Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in the IPL 2023.

Rohit Sharma will be in a good mood going into the remaining games of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 thanks to Mumbai Indians’ (MI) six-wicket victory over Delhi Capitals (DC) on Tuesday, April 11, according to former Indian coach Ravi Shastri.

After he reached his first IPL fifty in nearly two years and a half at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Rohit was at the top of his game. The veteran made sure to continue after taking on fast bowler Mukesh Kumar to begin his inning.

Rohit Sharma’s match-winning knock helped the side to win their first match in the 16th edition of Indian Premier League 2023. Rohit Sharma displayed the sign of regaining his form back and boosting the confidence of his teammates. Along with Rohit Sharma, Tilak Verma too showed decent batting skills to chase the score down comfortably for the side.

In addition, Shastri stated that “MI has a great chance of winning several games in a row following their inspiring victory over David Warner’s team.”

“In the past, we were aware of the Mumbai Indians’ capacity to win two to three games in a row once they got going. Therefore, winning the game is crucial, and the way they handled the pressure in the last few overs should help them move forward, he continued”

At the Mumbai Wankhede Stadium on Sunday, April 16, MI will play its following game against Nitish Rana’s Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

MI will enter the tournament with a lot of confidence after this victory. Sunil Gavaskar, a legend in his own right, wants Mahendra Singh Dhoni, captain of the Chennai Super Kings, to bat later in the order so that he can have more time.
