The all-round spin bowler also discussed his preparations for the last two deliveries, saying:
“I was just considering how much harder I should swing. I didn’t consider where the ball would land; instead, I focused on making a powerful swing. Because I knew Mohit could bowl those slower balls, I was backing myself up and trying to hit straight. “
With this amazing outcome, the Super Kings, who have won two IPL championships in the last three years, are now tied with the Mumbai Indians for the most IPL titles (5). They also have the most final appearances (10) and playoff appearances (12) in the history of the league.
Mike Hussey said of MS Dhoni after CSK defeated GT in the IPL 2023 championship game, “He’s an amazing human being.”

CSK has won the championship in three of the last six IPL seasons, despite missing out on the 2016 and 2017 seasons. While this is happening, GT, who previously won the IPL title and reached the final in their first two seasons, has had another outstanding season despite the heartbreaking conclusion.
