When the Rajasthan Royals take on Sunrisers Hyderabad in Match 52 of the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL), they will try to get back to winning ways.
After winning four of their first five games, they only managed one victory in their following five contests. Only three of SRH’s nine games have been victories this season, which is a poor showing.
The upcoming player battles are listed below
1. Jos Buttler vs Bhuvneshwar Kumar
With Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s brilliant first few overs, RR opener Jos Buttler will have his work cut out for him. Although Buttler has faced the right-arm pacer six times in the IPL without being dismissed once, his strike rate in this match is only 104.65 per cent.
Notably, Bhuvneshwar leads all bowlers in the IPL with 59 powerplay wickets. In this phase, Buttler has a strike rate of 143.06.
2. Shimron Hetmyer vs Mayank Markande
This season, Shimron Hetmyer has made some breathtaking cameo appearances; SRH must be wary of his prowess.
Given that the dasher has had difficulty against leg-spinners, the effective Mayank Markande can be unleashed against him.
In 23 IPL innings, he has been victimized seven times by these spinners, bringing his strike rate down to 104.66 per cent.
Notably, Markande’s economy rate against left-handed batters was 8.35.
3. Trent Boult vs Mayank Agarwal
Trent Boult has been incredible with the new ball this year, taking seven powerplay wickets. He was well-tackled by SRH opener Mayank Agarwal, who has recently been out of form.
Against the left-arm pacer, he has scored 50 runs off just 30 balls without being dismissed. Agarwal has been ejected from the powerplay four times this year, though.
4. Yuzvendra Chahal vs Heinrich Klaasen
One of SRH’s few advantages this season is Heinrich Klaasen’s destructive batting lower in the order. With a remarkable strike rate of 181 points, he has scored 189 runs.
He boasts a strike rate of 224 points per 32 against Yuzvendra Chahal in T20 cricket, making their matchup intriguing.
However, in five encounters, the dasher twice succumbed to the leg-spinner.
