Faf du Plessis (28 off 19 balls) and Virat Kohli (101 not out off 61) both found the boundaries frequently after RCB was given the opportunity to bat first.
RCB scored 62 runs during the powerplay as a result of their aggressive strategy. Due to heavy rains that left the M Chinnaswamy Stadium’s outfield soaked earlier, the game’s start was delayed by nearly an hour.

In their Indian Premier League match on Sunday, Gujarat Titans captain Hardik Pandya chose to bowl first against Royal Challengers Bangalore after winning the toss.
Himanshu Sharma, a leg-spinner, replaces Karn Sharma for RCB in a like-for-like replacement, while GT remains unaltered. Mumbai Indians defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad in the other game of the day, so RCB can only advance if they defeat Gujarat Titans handily.
Du Plessis and Kohli, the RCB’s starting pair, both agreed that this year was their best. In the IPL 2023, they both finished among the top five run scorers. With 6 50s and 2 100s, Kohli finished third with 639 runs, trailing only Du Plessis (730 runs in 14 games).
Shubman Gill, who has 680 points after 14 games and is in second place, has every chance of taking home the Orange Cap. The sole other participant in the playoffs is Devon Conway. He is in fifth place and has 585 runs scored.
