Prior to Saturday’s match between RCB and the Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2023, Virat Kohli had a meeting with Rajkumar Sharma, his childhood coach.
In advance of the team’s match against Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Saturday, Royal Challengers Bangalore’s star batter Virat Kohli met with his childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma, who was present to witness the game as well.
Virat Kohli touched his childhood coach’s feet before the game:
Following their conversation, Kohli appeared to point toward a stand at the stadium that bears his name. Rajkumar was a significant part of Kohli’s development as a cricketer and recently spoke with the Royal Challengers Bangalore in an interview where he discussed different aspects of the 34-year-old batter’s early years in the game.
A wholesome meet and greet was the caption for the touching video posted by the Indian Premier League’s official Twitter account. @imVkohli reconnects with his former coach. ”
Kohli developed rapidly under Rajkumar’s guidance, first representing the Delhi state team and later inspiring the Indian U-19 team to victory in the 2008 World Cup. Kohli was also chosen by Royal Challengers Bangalore in the same year, and he ultimately received his first call-up to the Indian cricket team for the tour of Sri Lanka.
Today, Kohli is regarded as one of the game’s all-time great batters, while Rajkumar continues to mentor young players at his Delhi academy and makes appearances as an authority on specific news channels across the nation.
With five victories in nine games, Royal Challengers Bangalore are currently in fifth place in the IPL 2023 standings. With a decisive victory over the Capitals tonight, they could move up to second place. Delhi, on the other hand, is having a difficult season so far, as they are currently last in the table with just three wins.
