Kohli developed rapidly under Rajkumar’s guidance, first representing the Delhi state team and later inspiring the Indian U-19 team to victory in the 2008 World Cup. Kohli was also chosen by Royal Challengers Bangalore in the same year, and he ultimately received his first call-up to the Indian cricket team for the tour of Sri Lanka.
Today, Kohli is regarded as one of the game’s all-time great batters, while Rajkumar continues to mentor young players at his Delhi academy and makes appearances as an authority on specific news channels across the nation.
With five victories in nine games, Royal Challengers Bangalore are currently in fifth place in the IPL 2023 standings.
