Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) amassed a staggering total of 197-6 after deciding to bat first. Early in the innings, Abhishek Sharma set the tone with a carefree knock of 67 runs in 36 balls while hitting 12 fours and 1 six.

Heinrich Klaasen finished the inning by scoring 53 runs in 27 balls.

Being restricted to 109-5 in 11-point three overs earlier had David Warner very concerned. David Warner was seen directing the bowlers while on the field and was quite animated.

The best bowler was Mitchell Marsh, a right-arm pacer who took 4 wickets, conceded 27 runs in just 4 overs and amazingly bowled a crucial maiden over in the modern game of cricket. Anrich Nortje, a lean speedster, was thoroughly embarrassed by his 44-run 4-over outing.

Harry Brook’s terrible streak continued as he once more failed to register a point. Mitchell Marsh also managed to fool the captain, Aiden Markram. It is important to remember that Abdul Samad also scored 28 runs in 21 balls, smashing 2 sixes and 1 four.

David Warner & Philip Salt entered the batting order in response to the 198 targets.

David Warner attempted to play a pull shot but dragged the ball back onto the stumps as Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled the second delivery a little wide off-stump in the first over.

This is a crucial wicket for SRH because Warner, a dangerous batsman, could have done a lot of damage in the powerplay overs. On 0 in 2 balls, David Warner was ejected. Watching Mitchell Marsh and Phillip Salt approach the run chase will be interesting.

SRH would understand that because DC’s middle order is so weak, they have a great opportunity to establish their dominance in the game. Umran Malik being added for the power play-over won’t be a bad idea because getting rid of Mitchell Marsh will be important.

Axar Patel needs to be given a promotion to the No. 4 or No. 5 spot because the needed run rate is almost 10 and there is a chance that the pitch could get a little worse. One of Mitchell Marsh or Phillip Salt needs to stick around and play a significant knock until the end of the innings.
