Kolkata Knight Riders batters demonstrated beast mood hitting as they posted 272 for 7 in match 16 of IPL 2024 against Delhi Capitals at Vizag on 3rd April. It was a great batting display as Sunil Narine’s 85, Raghuvanshi’s 50 on debut, and Russell and Rinku Singh’s ensured that KKR reached that massive total.
KKR won the match by a massive 106-run margin and moved to the top of the points table. KKR’s 272 is the second-highest total in IPL history falling short of Sunrisers 277 against Mumbai Indians. Since its inception of this tournament in 2008, KKR won the IPL title twice in 2012 and 2014 under the captaincy of Gambhir.

Salt and Narine put on 60 runs in 4.3 overs laying a strong platform for KKR to post a massive total. Raghuvanshi looked impressive on his IPL debut with a well-made fifty along with Sunil Narine. Narine and Raghuvanshi added 104 runs for the 2nd wicket.
Andre Russell displayed attacking cricket while Rinku Singh played a cameo that helped KKR post 272 for 7 in 20 overs. Despite Pant and Stubbs’s knocks, KKR won the match comfortably by 106 runs. For his all-round efforts, Sunil Narine was named player of the match award.

Kolkata Knight Riders showed another batting display against Punjab Kings at Holkar Stadium, Indore on 12th May 2018. After being asked to bat first by R Ashwin, KKR showed their class smashing PBKS bowlers all over the park.
Sunil Narine was at his best with 75 off 36 balls, contributions from Russell, and Dinesh Karthik ensured that KKR reached 245 for 6 in 20 overs. KKR bowlers restricted Punjab Kings batting to win the match by 31 runs. For his all-round performance, Sunil Narine was named the player of the match award.

Kolkata Knight Riders were at their best with another superb batting display against Mumbai Indians on 28th April 2019 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Chris Lynn and Shubman Gill smashed MI bowlers putting on 96 runs for the opening wicket. KKR openers scored half-centuries that laid a strong foundation.
Andre Russell showed his class with an unbeaten 80 off 40 balls with 6 fours and 8 sixes that helped KKR post 232 for 2 in 20 overs.
Despite Hardik Pandya’s brilliance, KKR restricted Mumbai Indians to 198 for 7 winning the match by 34 runs. For his all-around efforts, Andre Russell was named the Player of the Match award.

Kolkata Knight Riders set the stage alive with a brilliant 222 for 3 against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the opening match of IPL played on 18th April 2008.
It was a breath-taking performance by KKR as Brendon McCullum showed his class with an unbeaten 158 off 73 balls with 10 fours and 13 sixes that helped KKR post 222 for 3 in 20 overs.
KKR bowlers kept it tight and picked wickets at regular intervals to bowl out RCB for 82 to win the match by 140 runs. For his brilliance, Brendon McCullum was named the player of the match award.

KKR was at his prime best with the bat during the 6th match of IPL 2019 against Punjab Kings played on 27th March at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
After being asked to bat first, Chris Lynn and Sunil Narine got off to a quick start putting on 34 runs in quick time. Nitish Rana and Uthappa stitched a 110-run partnership for the 3rd wicket. Rana and Uthappa scored half-centuries before Russell showed his power-hitting that helped KKR post 218 for 4 in 20 overs.
KKR bowlers could not pick wickets at regular intervals but held onto their nerves to win the match by 28 runs. For his 48 off 17 and 2 for 21, Andre Russell was named the player of the match award.
