Ex-CSK skipper MS Dhoni smashed a one-handed six off Mohit Sharma during the IPL 2024 match against Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad on Friday, May 10. The boundary came in the penultimate over of the Super Kings’ innings.
Mohit delivered a slower length ball outside off, and Dhoni used his bottom hand to whip it while attempting the slog. His strength was sufficient to propel the ball over deep mid-wicket. You can watch the shot here:

Dhoni struck yet another one-handed six off Rashid Khan in the final over. The wicketkeeper-batsman concluded with an undefeated 26 runs from 11 deliveries, comprising three sixes and one boundary.
The 43-year-old has shown his prowess this season, accumulating 136 runs in nine innings at a striking rate of 226.6.
GT secures a victory over CSK by a margin of 35 runs in the IPL 2024 match
An efficient all-around performance led GT to a 35-run victory over CSK in the IPL 2024 match on Friday.
Batting first, GT set a formidable total of 231/3 in 20 overs. Captain Shubman Gill led the charge with a brilliant 104 off 55 balls, featuring six sixes and nine boundaries. Sai Sudharsan also contributed significantly with 103 runs off 51 deliveries, including seven sixes and five boundaries.
The opening pair shared an impressive 210-run partnership. Tushar Deshpande was the lone successful bowler for the Super Kings, claiming figures of 2/33. In response, CSK could only manage 196/8.
The defending champions faced a tough start as Ajinkya Rahane, Rachin Ravindra, and skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad were dismissed cheaply. Daryl Mitchell was the leading scorer with 63 runs off 34 balls, including three sixes and seven boundaries.
Moeen Ali also performed well, contributing 56 runs off 36 deliveries with four sixes and an equal number of boundaries. Shivam Dube managed 21 runs off 13 balls, while Ravindra Jadeja scored 18 runs off 10 deliveries, but both failed to guide the team to victory.
Mohit Sharma excelled with the ball for GT, claiming figures of 3/31, while Rashid Khan secured two wickets. Umesh Yadav and Sandeep Warrier each took one wicket.
Following the win, the Titans climbed to the eighth spot on the points table after securing five victories in 12 matches. Their upcoming match will be against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the same venue on May 13.
Meanwhile, CSK maintained their position in fourth place with six wins in 12 games. Their next match will be against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) at Chepauk on May 12.
