The match itself was filled with tension and dramatic moments. RCB faced a late scare when Ravindra Jadeja and Mahendra Singh Dhoni almost turned the game in CSK’s favour. However, Yash Dayal’s composed final over ensured RCB’s triumph. Despite Rachin Ravindra’s 61 runs for CSK, it was not enough to overcome the target set by RCB. A remarkable turnaround marked RCB’s path to the playoffs.

After losing seven of their first eight games, they managed to win five matches in a row, creating an opportunity to make it to the final four. On the decisive Saturday match at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, RCB needed to win by at least 18 runs to secure the playoff spot.
