Gujarat Titans (GT) star wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha once again showcased his exceptional skills behind the stumps in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season. Saha’s brilliance was evident as he dismissed Chennai Super Kings (CSK) star all-rounder Rachin Ravindra at MA Chidambaram Stadium on Tuesday.
For those unfamiliar, Saha displayed quick reflexes to dismiss the dangerous Ravindra, who scored 46 runs off 20 balls at a striking rate of 230, including three sixes and as many boundaries. The New Zealand batter provided a sensational start to the Super Kings innings.
The dismissal occurred in the sixth over of the CSK innings. Rashid Khan delivered a quicker ball on the leg stump that brushed Ravindra’s pads and reached the wicketkeeper. The left-hander was found out of his crease, and Wriddhiman Saha swiftly gathered the ball to dislodge the bails at the opportune moment. Consequently, Rachin Ravindra was denied his well-earned half-century.
