Delhi Capitals have secured Jake Fraser-McGurk for INR 9 crore during the IPL 2025 mega auction, utilizing their Right to Match (RTM) card to bring the Australian back into their squad. Punjab Kings initially led the bidding at INR 5.50 crore, eventually raising it to INR 9 crore. However, Delhi matched the final bid to retain the talented Australian player.
In IPL 2024, Jake Fraser-McGurk was not sold during the auction. However, he was later signed by the Delhi Capitals as an injury replacement for Lungi Ngidi, meaning he did not have a direct auction price that season.
Jake Fraser-McGurk made a strong impression in his debut IPL season in 2024 with the Delhi Capitals. In the 14 matches he played, the dynamic opener scored 330 runs at an average of 27.50. His strike rate was a remarkable 234, showcasing his aggressive batting style.
