In the IPL 2025 mega auction, New Zealand’s most experienced bowler, Trent Boult, has been bought by the Mumbai Indians. This auction was held in Jeddah city in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Boult, who was earlier a part of the Rajasthan Royals but was let go of by the franchise, had listed his base price at ₹2 crore.
It was an outstanding performance by Boult in IPL 2024 for which he was able to take 16 wickets. Even though the Rajasthan Royals released him, his abilities and experience make him a valuable commodity within the IPL at large. They have therefore been bought by the five-time champions of the IPL, the Mumbai Indians.
For the Mumbai Indians, acquiring Boult lasted ₹12.50 crore, which sums up their bets on their bowling line-up. The team will surely approach with the aim of boosting its lineup for the subsequent IPL season after having Boult on their side. In any case, Boult’s expertise and IQ will prove beneficial for the Mumbai Indians.

Despite the fact that Boult played only three seasons of IPL, he has multiple achievements: Mumbai Indians are the champions of IPL in 2020 and 2021.
