Rajasthan Royals have secured Tushar Deshpande for INR 6.50 crore. Chennai Super Kings made the initial bid, clearly eager to bring back their former pacer. However, after a heated bidding war with the Royals, the Super Kings chose to withdraw at the 6.50 crore mark and decided not to use their Right to Match (RTM) option.
Tushar Deshpande was acquired by the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for INR 20 lakh in the IPL 2024 auction. He remained with CSK for the 2024 season, contributing to the team’s performance.
In IPL 2024, Tushar Deshpande played a crucial role as a fast bowler for Chennai Super Kings (CSK). He featured in 13 matches and took 17 wickets, showcasing his ability to make an impact with the ball.
Deshpande’s economy rate was 9.01, which is relatively high, but he compensated for it with his wicket-taking ability, particularly in key moments. His best bowling performance of the season was 3/34, highlighting his skill to deliver in pressure situations.
Despite the challenges, Deshpande remained a vital part of CSK’s bowling attack, especially in the death overs, and contributed significantly to the team’s overall performance throughout the season.
