RCB’s Strong Comeback
Despite KKR’s solid foundation in the first half of their innings, RCB’s bowlers ensured they didn’t run away with the game. Krunal Pandya’s disciplined bowling and key breakthroughs helped slow down the scoring rate in the latter half. Hazlewood, though not credited on the graphics initially, played his role effectively by picking up crucial wickets.
RCB’s efforts in the field prevented KKR from capitalizing on their strong start. The target of 175 was set for RCB, with the bowlers giving their team a fighting chance in the opening encounter of IPL 2025. In the end, while KKR’s batting effort was commendable, the broadcasting error involving Kohli became one of the highlights of the match, giving fans a good laugh to kick off the tournament.
