Irfan Pathan Shuts Troll With Witty Response

Former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan was known for his swing during his playing days. It was on the back of his ability to wing the ball that he took numerous wickets with the new ball. Having retired from the game, he now works as a cricket expert with Star Sports. In his analysis of the first T20I between India and England in Ahmedabad, the former Indian cricketer tried to decode the reason behind India’s loss.

Irfan Pathan took to his official Twitter handle and said that as per him the reason behind India’s loss in the first game was the extra pace of the England bowlers. “What was the reason India lost the first t20 vs England? I think PACE was the difference,” Ifran tweeted.

Jofra Archer and Mark Wood tormented the Indian batsmen and beat them for pace. The duo took four wickets together.

Later England skipper Eoin Morgan also highlighted the pace factor of the vistors which put the hosts on the backfoot.

“That was certainly the intention. Jofra can bowl fast but Mark Wood can bowl super fast. The wicket was as expected. The plans were very basic – to bowl on a length and straight” said Morgan.

Irfan Pathan Hits Back At Trolls

Meanwhile, Irfan Pathan gave it back to a random Twitter user, who tried to troll the former Indian cricketer. “Boss, you never had PACE,” the fan commented. In response, Pathan gave it back to him saying” “You never played for India yet you talking to a guy who had swing:)”.

Irfan Pathan represented India in 120 ODIs and 24 T20 Internationals scalping 173 and 28 wickets respectively. To add to that he has played 103 games and picked up 80 wickets. Meanwhile, India and England will play the second T20I on Sunday at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad.
