The first player from Aligarh to participate in the IPL is left-handed batter Rinku Singh of Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. He gained notoriety for his outstanding play in the Ranji Trophy in 2018–19, where he led Uttar Pradesh in runs scored.

Singh is a former player for the Uttar Pradesh, Punjab Kings, Services, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rest of India, India A, and Central Zone IPL teams, among other domestic and international teams.

In 2023, he made his ODI debut against South Africa. He has also represented India internationally. Because of his combative play on the field, Singh is known as “Rinku.”

After a few significant setbacks, Rinku improved in 2022. However, his greatest moment came when he crushed five consecutive sixes against GT to cap off an amazing run chase. After that, Rinku’s career took off, and he was rewarded with a call-up to the Indian squad after putting on incredible performances all season long. Rinku continued to put up spectacular performances at the international level, honing his abilities as Team India’s finisher.

IND vs SL: 'SKY Had Informed Me To Be Ready For Bowling': Rinku Singh Discloses Pre-Planned Move | Times Now

Indian cricketer Rinku Singh has become synonymous with remarkable performance in both Indian Premier League (IPL) and domestic cricket. Nonetheless, some confusion seems to cloud his bowling skill. Is Rinku Singh a spinner or a quick bowler?

To be clear, Rinku Singh bats left-handed most of the time and can occasionally spin left-arm. Although he can bowl slow left-arm orthodox spin, his main position on the squad is middle-order hitter. Many people have lauded Rinku’s batting abilities, and he has showed a lot of promise in terms of his capacity to play innings that win games.

Rinku hasn’t bowled much in matches, even if he has occasionally done so. Instead of becoming a regular bowler for his teams, he has concentrated on honing his hitting abilities. Rinku has taken only a few wickets throughout his bowling career, therefore his stats are actually rather low. In the most recent game against Sri Lanka, Rinku took two wickets and bowled a crucial 19th over.
