New Zealand have added Ish Sodhi and Blair Tickner to their squad for the third and final ODI of the three-match series against India. Meanwhile, the Kiwis have already sealed the series winning the first two games and will look to experiment with their playing XI in the final encounter.
Both Sodhi and Tickner are currently playing for New Zealand A in the second unofficial Test against India A, have been recalled ahead of the fourth day's play and added to the illness-marred New Zealand squad. Sodhi was only a part of the first ODI and then joined the New Zealand A squad for the four-day unofficial Test. And now, he will once again join the ODI squad for the final game of the series.

Mitchell Santner and Tim Southee are battling gastro while Scott Kuggeleijn is down with a viral bug. They are still recovering, putting their participation in the third and final ODI in doubt. Notably, Santner and Kuggeleijn didn't even feature in the second ODI against India in Auckland while Southee worked his way through illness to deliver a match-winning spell. On top of that, the Black Caps are still missing their regular skipper Kane Williamson with a shoulder injury.
However, New Zealand battled their way out to come out of 0-5 defeat in the T20Is to win the ODI series. They will hope to keep the winning run and inflict a whitewash on India, who lost their first series since the ICC World Cup. Sodhi and Tickner joined the senior men's squad in Mount Maunganui for training on Monday (February 10).
