Indian cricketer Tushar Deshpande provided an update on Instagram on Tuesday, October 1, regarding his ankle surgery, successfully performed on September 30 in London. The 29-year-old last played during India‘s five-match series against Zimbabwe in July 2024, where India secured a 4-1 victory.
Tushar Deshpande was omitted from the Mumbai squad for the Irani Cup 2024 as well as from the list of probables for the 2024-25 Ranji Trophy due to his scheduled ankle surgery.
This decision came as he focused on his recovery and rehabilitation following the procedure. On Tuesday, he took to social media to share an update about his condition, posting a message with the caption:
“This post comes as an update about my ankle surgery which was done yesterday and went very well. It is a great relief as I was dealing with it for quite a long time.”
“I am very grateful to my family, friends and all my fans for the well wishes, love and trust they have shown towards me. Here on, I start my journey to recover better than before and come back stronger,” he added.
