Jasprit Bumrah came with a reputation to Australia after his outstanding bowling form in IPL 2020 for Mumbai Indians. The speedster was practically unplayable in the T20 league and many believed he will be the dangerman for Australia. Unfortunately, thus far Bumrah has failed to make any sort of impact in the ODI series as Australia batsmen have played him with ease.
Bumrah’s bowling form is a huge problem for India as captain Virat Kohli banks heavily on his star bowler to produce the goods. In the 2nd ODI, Bumrah was taken to the cleaners by Australia and he conceded 79 runs in his 10 overs. Whether it be with the new ball or in the late overs, Bumrah has been ordinary as a result India has given away more than 350 runs in both matches.
After his below-par bowling effort in the second ODI at SCG, Bumrah was clearly unhappy and displayed his disappointment on the ground. An unseen photo of Bumrah has surfaced on Twitter where he can be seen kicking away the 30-yeard circle in anger which is so unlike Bumrah.

Never before Bumrah has been seen exhibiting such kind of emotions on the cricket ground. Usually, Bumrah forgets an off day and instantly makes a comeback and helps his side win the next match. However, from the outside, it seems that there’s just something wrong with Bumrah as he doesn’t resemble in the right frame of mind.
Meanwhile, apart from IPL this year 2020 has been a challenging year for Bumrah as he has hardly picked wickets in white-ball cricket. The quality bowler maybe needs one good bowling performance which will change his fortunes around and he will again intimidate the batsmen. Bumrah will get his next opportunity in the final match of the ODI series where team India will be aiming to avoid a whitewash.
