Jayant Yadav Named as Captain Of India For Emerging Teams Asia Cup

Who remembers Jayant Yadav? The man who scored a maiden century in tests for India in his maiden series again England back in 2016 is all set to lead the Indian team. He will be leading a young and dynamic team for theĀ Emerging Teams Asia Cup which is scheduled in the month of December at Sri Lanka.

Nitish Rana, Deepak Hooda and several other young stars have been named in the squad and it will really be a test of character for all of them to announce their arrival into the international arena.

The 15-man squad has several IPL stars including Ankit Rajpoot, Shiva Mavi and Prasidh Krishna who did wonders for KKR towards the end of the season.

Spin department responsibilities have been handed over to Mayank Markhande and it will be interesting if he could replicate his MI stint in the series.

The tournament is set to commence from December 2 and it spans over a period of two weeks (Till Dec 17). The squads of other teams aren”t named yet and further updates are awaited.

Indian Squad: Jayant Yadav (C), R D Gaekwad, Atharva Taide, Ankush Bains (WK), Deepak Hooda, Prab Simran Singh, Nitish Rana, Himmat Singh, S Mulani, Ankit Rajpoot, Prasidh Krishna, Siddharth Desai, Mayank Markande, Atith Seth and Shivam Mavi.
