Jhye Richardson, one of the frontier Australian bowlers have been ruled out of the upcoming Cricket World Cup in England. Richardson sustained to a shoulder injury during the second ODI between Pakistan and Australia.
Anrich Nortje ruled out of the World Cup
Cricket Australia confirmed that the paceman, has dislocated his shoulder and he remains unavailable for the World Cup later this month. This comes as a big blow for the Australian team who invested heavily in the youngster and he was up to the mark each time.
“This is obviously very disappointing news for the team and for Jhye, who has been exceptional throughout his rehabilitation process,” Australia”s physiotherapist David Beakley said.
Jhye Richardson played a key role in defeating India in India this year. In the 3 ODI games that he played against India, he picked up 8 wickets. In the T20 series, his contribution was vital in securing the series for his side. Jhye looks to make a comeback in the Ashes in England, right after World Cup. He would also be with Australia A side.

Cricket Australia on May 8th announced the replacement of Jhye Richardson as Kane Richardson. Kane has been chosen ahead of the veteran Josh Hazlewood, so it comes as an interesting call taken by CA.

Kane Richardson played two games in the Pakistan series and picked up 2 wickets at an economy of 5.76. Richardson also went wicketless in the game between Australia XI and New Zealand XI.
