Paul Collingwood reserved special praise for me: Mateen Teli
Mateen Teli further expressed that it was like a dream to bowl to the England batters. He added that it was an out-of-the-world feeling when he managed to trouble the batters with his bowling.
Mateen revealed that the England players, including coach Paul Collingwood, praised his efforts. He said, as quoted by Greater Kashmir,
“I had an impressive session as a net bowler to the likes of Johny Bairstow, Zak Crawley, and others. It was a dream to bowl to the likes of Bairstow. When I finally managed to sneak into his defenses once, it was just a World feeling.”
“While everyone praised my efforts during the net session, Paul Collingwood reserved special praise for me. After seeing me going through Bairstow’s defenses, Collingwood said it was unplayable delivery and you must be taking a lot of wickets for your club. It was something that I hadn’t expected in my dreams. I will cherish these words for the rest of my life,” Mateen Teli added.
