Playing in the Pakistan Super League for the franchise Quetta Gladiators was former England player”s last assignment. Quetta was able to finish fourth in the league table and hence, reaching the playoffs. A campaign in which KP played a crucial role. The next round of the PSL will happen in Pakistan and KP made it clear earlier that he won”t be traveling to Pakistan because of the security reasons and subsequently the last Quetta league game was going to be his last for them.
And so, as he had announced he won”t be playing the Big Bash league again and doesn”t want to play the summer cricket wanting to spend time with his family, confirming this Quetta game as the last in his cricketing career. His international career had virtually ended with the infamous Ashes whitewash of England in Australia 2013/14.
Kevin Pietersen has possibly officially confirmed his retirement from all forms of cricket today. Kevin posted a tweet on the social media network Twitter as “BOOTS UP! Thank you”.
