Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Mumbai Indians all-rounder Krunal Pandya recently hilariously trolled teammate Chris Lynn during his latter’s birthday celebration. The Australian cricketer finally made his debut for the Mumbai Indians (MI) in their first match of the IPL 2021 against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on April 9. Lynn was bought by the MI franchise in the IPL 2020 auction but didn’t get to play a single match in the tournament.
The presence of quality top-order batsman in the Mumbai Indians forced Chris Lynn to warm the benches in the entire IPL 2020. Finally, he was able to don the Mumbai jersey on Friday, April 9, as Quinton De Kock was not available for the team due to still being in quarantine after arriving from South Africa. While de Kock is going to be available from the second game onwards, for now, Lynn has guaranteed to give some problem to the management through his promising performance on his MI debut.
Our very own Johnny – Krunal Pandya to Chris Lynn
Chris Lynn has often being compared to adult film star Jonny Sins due to his likeness to the star and because they both have bald heads. This was once more brought into the limelight when his MI teammate Krunal Pandya compared Lynn to Sins while wishing him on his birthday.
In a video package shared by Mumbai Indians Twitter, Krunal Pandya can be seen cheering from behind, “Happy birthday to our very own Jonny.” Not only him, but other players were also heard saying ‘Johnny’ during the celebrations. Funnily, the cricketer has himself admitted that he “prefers Johnny Sins” as a look-a-like.
