The Indian spinners have found it tough in the Australian conditions in this series. All the spinners were costly in the ODIs. Kuldeep Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja and Yuzvendra Chahal have played the three ODI matches. Kuldeep has been out of favor in the T20Is after not doing well in the T20Is.

Meanwhile, former Indian stumper Kiran More has said that the Indian spinners are not the same without former Indian skipper MS Dhoni. The former India skipper has constantly guided the Indian spinners from behind the stumps during his playing days.

Kuldeep, Jadeja Not Same Bowlers Without MS Dhoni: Kiran More

Now that he has retired, Kiran More feels that the likes of Jadeja and Kuldeep especially are struggling. More believes the likes of Kuldeep and Jadeja have not been the same bowlers in Australia in the absence of Dhoni.

‘‘During Dhoni’s time, he was constantly giving advice to bowlers on what length or line to bowl – albeit mostly in Hindi. Now that Dhoni is not there behind the wickets, India’s spinners are struggling – you will see Kuldeep (Yadav) or (Ravindra) Jadeja are no longer the same bowlers,” Kiran More said while talking to Indian Women’s cricket team coach WV Raman.

While Kuldeep Yadav managed only 1 wicket in the solitary game that he played, Jadeja played all three games where he went for 180 runs and returned with just one wicket. Chahal played two ODIs where he went for 160 runs while managing just one scalp before being dropped for the third ODI.

Yuzvendra Chahal made a brilliant return in the T20I series against Australia. In the first T20I in coming in as a concussion replacement for Jadeja, Chchal picked up 3 for 25 to win the game for his side. In the second game, Chahal again went for runs giving away 51 off his spell.

Meanwhile, Ravindra Jadeja was ruled out of the last two T20Is after coping up a hamstring injury along with a knock on his head from a Mitchell Starc bouncer.
