Indian ODI and Test skipper Virat Kohli’s restaurant One8 Commune has been accused of not allowing people of the LGBTQIA+ community getting entry into his restaurant which has its branches in Kolkata, Pune and Delhi. The Indian skipper has endured a tough time recently after India’s forgetful campaign in the recently concluded T20 World Cup. The charges against Kohli’s restaurant have been pressed by an LGBTQIA+ group YesWeExistIndia.

The group has further targeted online food company Zomato saying that the company did not want to partner with companies that discriminated against people of LGBTQIA+ communities.

The Indian skipper however has not reacted anything on this yet. He is currently with the Indian team in Jaipur for the first T20I against New Zealand. The Kiwis will travel to Dubai from India. They made it to the final of the World Cup but lost out on the night to Australia.
Kane Williamson scored a valiant 85 but that was not enough to see his side home.
“We were trying to get a platform and the surface was holding a fraction. But typical to here in Dubai. It was nice to build some partnerships and get what we thought was a competitive total. Only to be chased superbly by Australia. They’re a fantastic side. We certainly made every effort. Guys came out and committed to their plans. They didn’t give an inch really. Really proud of our team’s efforts throughout. Came here in the final and gave it our best shot but it wasn’t enough. Conditions varied a lot from venue to venue but we adjusted well. Nice to get to the big dance. Credit to Australia. Today they really turned it on. High hopes coming into this game. Never nice. Winning and losing are two possible outcomes” he said after New Zealand’s loss.
