In a thrilling match between India and Bangladesh, 22-year-old fast bowler Mayank Yadav made headlines by joining an exclusive group of Indian bowlers. During the third T20I in Hyderabad, Yadav claimed a wicket with the first ball of the second innings, dismissing Bangladesh opener Parvez Hossain Emon.
This remarkable achievement made Yadav only the fourth Indian bowler to take a wicket with the first ball of a T20I innings, placing him alongside Hardik Pandya, Arshdeep Singh, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Yadav’s blistering pace played a crucial role in restricting Bangladesh to 164/7, securing India’s dominant 133-run victory.
Sanju Samson’s Record-Breaking Century
In the same match, India’s wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson created history by becoming the first Indian to score a T20I century. Samson’s explosive knock of 111 off just 47 balls, featuring 11 fours and eight sixes, came at an astounding strike rate of 236.17. His century helped India post an imposing total of 297/6, the second-highest T20I score ever recorded by the Indian team. Samson’s performance at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium was no surprise, as he boasts an impressive record at the venue, with 398 runs in eight innings at an average of 66.33. This century also marked the second-fastest T20I century by a player from a full-member team.
India Dominates Bangladesh to Seal Series Win
